The City of Towanda provides services for water, sewer, trash, and streets.

A utility connection form must be submitted to City Hall with a valid driver's license or other State or Federal I.D. along with payment of a $25.00 non-refundable service charge. Learn more
Employment
Applications for employment may be submitted to Towanda City Hall at any time for consideration of current or future job openings.

Certain residential and commercial building repairs and installations require building permits and inspections.
​
All permits and licenses are obtained from the city planning & zoning administrator.
Annual licenses are required for all dogs that reside within city limits.

Licenses are free of charge from January - March and within 30 days of new residency. Current rabies vaccination documentation must be provided to obtain the license and tag. Learn more
Ordinance No. 687 allows the use of golf carts and work-site utility vehicles on city streets, subject to regulations.
